This inspiring and festive fundraising event is the opportunity each year for our friends, supporters and community partners to hear our vision for the future. We will celebrate and honor individuals and organizations making a difference in the lives of African descendants in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
The Virtual Unity Ball will be hosted by Minneapolis, KSTP-TV Anchor/Reporter Brandi Powell. We’re excited to announce Eddie Glaude Jr., Professor of African American Studies at Princeton University, author and frequent commentator on MSNBC will give the keynote address. Guests will be encouraged and inspired by actress, playwright and author Tina Lifford, affectionately known as ‘Aunt Vi’ for the character she plays on the Oprah Winfrey network’s critically acclaimed series “Queen Sugar.”
